For the September issue, Africanah.org and Writing in relation. I was interviewed in by London based writer and art historian Yvette Gresel,
Yvette is a (completing research) PhD candidate in the History of Art Department, University College London. The title of her PhD is ‘Video Art, Traumatic Memory and the Historical Event in the Work of Four South African Woman Artists (Jo Ractliffe, Penny Siopis, Berni Searle, Minnette Vári)’. In 2014, Yvette is a London-based Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. She has contributed to ‘this is tomorrow’; Apollo Magazine; 3:AM Magazine; Photomonitor; Art South Africa; Africanah; Africa Is A Country, and the blog of the International New Media Gallery (inmg). Yvette is also a senior editor and contributor to the on-line journal ‘minor literature[s]‘ founded by Fernando Sdrigotti who is an author, cultural commentator and film scholar.
